We’ve signed an agreement to be acquired by Kaiser Permanente, a nationally recognized, nonprofit health care leader, and one that shares our values and focus on members’ total health.
You can continue to rely on outstanding physicians and care teams, and you can also look forward to improvements and financial advantages that come from being part of the larger Kaiser Permanente organization. Together we can better serve our members and mission for years to come.
To create this strong future, we are in the midst of the approval process. Following a positive membership advisory vote in January and endorsements by SEIU Healthcare NW 1199, SEIU 775, the Group Health Senior Caucus, and more than 1,000 Group Health physicians, our voting members formally approved the resolution supporting this proposal in March. You can view the results here.
The next steps in the process involve regulatory reviews, including Washington’s Office of the Insurance Commissioner, which will take some time to complete.
